It targets graduate students and academic researchers preparing theses, literature reviews, or manuscripts. It supports oral defense rehearsal, reviewer rehearsal, Chinese-English terminology consistency, reading note cards, and tracking new publications in a field.

Paste your article or draft, and the skill queries Semantic Scholar, Crossref, and arXiv to confirm each reference exists, that bibliographic fields are correct, and that the cited content actually supports the claim made in the text. It can also annotate where citations are needed.

The gap command only verifies intersections of two concepts the user has already named; it does not generate research topics. The map command covers literature only—foundational papers, key authors, recent trends—not technique or market landscape analysis, which belongs to a separate research-gap-hunter skill.

It relies on the Semantic Scholar, Crossref, and arXiv APIs for literature search and citation verification. No other installation prerequisites are stated in the manifest; topic generation and technique landscape analysis require the optional research-gap-hunter skill if present.
