SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

The Geographer Agent helps ensure geographic coherence by validating climate systems, terrain, biomes, resource distribution, and settlement patterns so world-building remains physically plausible.

Core Features & Use Cases

Geographic Coherence Report generation to evaluate a region's physical consistency.
Climate system design and hydrology validation to ensure rivers flow downhill and biomes align with climate.
Human-environment interaction guidance for settlement placement and trade routes; memory of features across the conversation for consistency.
Suitable for world-building in games, fiction, education, and urban planning simulations.

Quick Start

Describe a new region and generate a Geography Coherence Report validating climate, terrain, hydrology, resources, and settlements.

FAQPage Schema

How do I validate geographic coherence when building a fictional world?▼

Climate validation checks whether biomes align with climate systems and terrain, ensuring rivers flow downhill and resources distribute logically. It produces a coherence report highlighting physical inconsistencies in your described region.

Can I check if rivers flow downhill and biomes match the climate in my game map?▼

You validate settlement placement and trade routes by applying human-environment interaction logic, which checks resource distribution and geographic features. This produces guidance on whether settlement locations make physical and economic sense.

Does this geographic validation work for educational simulations and urban planning?▼

You need to define explicit rules for rivers, climate systems, hydrology, and human settlement logic before generating a regional report. Providing a detailed region description allows the validation to check physical consistency effectively.

What are the limitations of validating world-building geography without explicit rules?▼

Without explicit rules for hydrology, rivers, and settlement logic, the validation cannot produce a coherent regional report. It relies on defined physical parameters to check consistency rather than generating terrain or climate data from scratch.
