What problem does it solve?

Researchers often need to read Flow Cytometry Standard (FCS) files and convert their event data and metadata into analysis-ready formats; this Skill provides a Python-based approach to parse FCS files, retrieve event data as NumPy arrays, and access channel metadata for downstream processing.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Read FCS files (versions 2.0–3.1) and access event data as NumPy arrays.
  • Retrieve channel metadata (PnN, PnS, PnR) and TEXT segment information for inspection.
  • Export data to CSV or DataFrame formats for downstream analysis and visualization.
  • Support multi-dataset files and basic data preprocessing via FlowIO.

Quick Start
