What problem does it solve?
The Skill Unit metadata engine identifies valid Skill Units by scanning directories for SKILL.md at the root, ensuring each unit provides a name and description in YAML frontmatter. It then generates structured metadata for discovery and automation, enabling consistent integration across large repositories.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Detects Skill Units by presence of SKILL.md and mandatory frontmatter to enable discovery.
- Extracts mandatory fields (name, description) and optional resources (scripts, references, assets) for on-demand loading.
- Produces standardized YAML metadata for downstream tooling, audits toxicity, and supports pipeline orchestration.
Quick Start
