What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps you query Amazon’s Product Advertising API (PA-API 5.0) to research products and reliably generate affiliate-ready product data and links for your content pipeline, while handling API throttling and the upcoming PA-API sunset.

Core Features & Use Cases

• Affiliate Product Research (SearchItems): Find ASINs by keywords and/or browse node, retrieving only the fields you request (title, features, images, and price) to reduce missing-data failures.
• ASIN Hydration for Content (GetItems): Batch-fetch up to 10 ASINs to fill in canonical metadata and use Amazon-provided DetailPageURL that already includes your Associate Tag for correct attribution.
• Variation and Category Navigation: Expand a parent ASIN into variations (GetVariations) and walk Amazon category trees via browse nodes (GetBrowseNodes) to scope research precisely.
• Operational Guardrails: Apply caching and 429 retry/backoff logic, prioritize data freshness for offers/prices (avoid stale pricing), and plan migration to the Creators API after PA-API retirement.
