FAQPage Schema

How do I map project portfolios to organizational strategy using OKRs?▼

Map project portfolios to organizational strategy by linking ongoing initiatives to strategic objectives using OKRs or Balanced Scorecard. This creates a traceable alignment matrix that justifies each project's strategic contribution and highlights coverage gaps.

What is a strategic orphan in project portfolio alignment?▼

A strategic orphan is a project within a portfolio that lacks a clear linkage to organizational strategic objectives. Detecting orphans during portfolio alignment helps identify initiatives with no measurable strategic contribution or coverage.

What do I need to perform portfolio coverage gap analysis and investment alignment?▼

Portfolio coverage gap analysis requires an organizational strategy document, a complete project portfolio, and a defined measurement framework like OKRs or Balanced Scorecard to generate an alignment matrix and investment rebalancing recommendations.

How do I detect strategy drift across multiple strategic objectives in a project portfolio?▼

Detect strategy drift by monitoring the alignment matrix that links projects to strategic objectives. Continuous portfolio-level analysis identifies when ongoing initiatives diverge from organizational strategy, enabling timely investment rebalancing.

Can I use Balanced Scorecard instead of OKRs for portfolio traceability?▼

Yes, you can use Balanced Scorecard instead of OKRs for portfolio traceability. The framework accepts either measurement method to map projects to strategic objectives and produce an alignment matrix with coverage reports.

What is the best way to generate a portfolio rebalancing roadmap for strategic alignment?▼

Generate a portfolio rebalancing roadmap by mapping all projects to strategic objectives, detecting coverage gaps and orphans, then using the resulting alignment matrix to recommend investment shifts that optimize strategic contribution.
