SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) and assets (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill eliminates the friction of manually drawing system architectures, flows, and data models, ensuring your documentation remains accurate, consistent, and readable across enterprise wikis.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automated Mermaid Generation: Produces clean, structural diagrams including C4, sequence, state, and ER models.
Cloud & Agentic Awareness: Built-in support for AWS, Azure, GCP, and agentic platforms like Bedrock AgentCore and AI Foundry.
Use Case: When you need to visualize a complex checkout flow or a deployment topology, this Skill generates the Mermaid syntax while enforcing structural discipline and trust-boundary labeling.

Quick Start

Use the architect-diagram skill to draw a C4 container view of the current system architecture.

Frequently Asked Questions about architect-diagram

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I generate Mermaid diagrams for system architecture automatically?▼

To generate Mermaid diagrams for system architecture, you can use automated generation tools that translate structural descriptions into C4, sequence, state, and ER notations. This approach grounds diagrams in repository code to ensure technical accuracy and prevent fabricated components.

What is a C4 container diagram and when should I use it?▼

A C4 container diagram visualizes the high-level shape of software architecture by mapping applications, data stores, and microservices. You should use it when you need to document deployment topologies or integration flows while enforcing structural discipline and trust-boundary labeling across enterprise wikis.

Does this diagramming approach support cloud infrastructure boundaries for AWS and Azure?▼

Yes, this diagramming approach supports cloud infrastructure boundaries for AWS, Azure, and GCP. It includes built-in cloud awareness to enforce trust-zone labeling and accurately render service boundaries for complex deployment topologies and integration flows.

How do I visualize an integration flow without fabricating unnamed components?▼

To visualize an integration flow without fabricating unnamed components, the generation process must be grounded in actual repository code and internal knowledge surfaces. This structural discipline ensures only verified components and data models are rendered in the final sequence or state diagrams.

Can I use Mermaid to draw state diagrams for agentic platforms like Bedrock AgentCore?▼

Yes, you can use Mermaid to draw state diagrams for agentic platforms like Bedrock AgentCore and AI Foundry. The diagramming process includes specific awareness of agentic platforms to accurately map integration flows and structural boundaries within these environments.

What is the best way to document complex data models using ER diagrams?▼

The best way to document complex data models using ER diagrams is to automate the generation of Mermaid syntax directly from your structural logic. This produces clean, readable visualizations while preventing the fabrication of unnamed entities across your enterprise documentation.
