SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill aggressively challenges and attempts to disprove assumptions, uncovering hidden weaknesses, false beliefs, and potential failure points before they cause critical issues.

Core Features & Use Cases

Assumption Falsification: Actively seeks to disprove assumptions through counterexamples, edge cases, and adversarial thinking.
Risk Identification: Identifies critical vulnerabilities and unknown unknowns in technical, business, or process assumptions.
Use Case: When launching a new critical system, use this Skill to stress-test the core architectural assumptions, ensuring resilience against unexpected failures and adversarial attacks.

Quick Start

Use the assumption-buster skill to aggressively disprove the assumption that 'the database is always available'.

Frequently Asked Questions about assumption-buster

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I identify hidden weaknesses and false beliefs in my system architecture?▼

To identify hidden weaknesses, you need aggressive assumption falsification through counterexample generation and edge case exploration. This approach applies systematic stress-testing to disprove architectural beliefs and reveal potential failure points before critical issues occur.

When do I need adversarial testing for critical decision-making?▼

You need adversarial testing for critical decision-making when launching new systems or evaluating business processes to ensure resilience. It uncovers unknown unknowns and cognitive biases by aggressively attempting to disprove foundational assumptions before they cause critical failures.

How do I apply falsification methodologies to find edge cases in technical systems?▼

Apply falsification methodologies by actively seeking counterexamples and stress-testing core assumptions rather than validating them. This adversarial approach systematically explores edge cases to expose hidden weaknesses and false beliefs within your technical architecture.

Can I use assumption falsification for risk assessment in business and process contexts?▼

Yes, you can use assumption falsification for risk assessment across technical, business, and process contexts. It identifies critical vulnerabilities and unknown unknowns by applying counterexample generation and adversarial thinking to cognitive biases and process assumptions.

What are the limitations of relying on assumption validation instead of falsification?▼

Relying on assumption validation instead of falsification limits your ability to uncover unknown unknowns and cognitive biases. Without adversarial testing and counterexample generation, hidden weaknesses and potential failure modes remain undiscovered until they cause critical issues.
