What problem does it solve?

This Skill continuously discovers, inventories, and risk-scores internet-facing assets, providing defenders with accurate visibility of what attackers see first.

Core Features & Use Cases

Continuous Discovery: Identifies domains, IPs, cloud resources, open ports, and exposed APIs.
Risk Scoring: Classifies assets based on exposure and potential vulnerabilities.
Trend Analysis: Tracks changes in the attack surface over time.
Use Case: Automatically identify newly exposed administrative interfaces or potential subdomain takeover vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.

Quick Start

Run the attack surface management tool to discover and report on all internet-facing assets.

Frequently Asked Questions about attack-surface-management

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

What is external attack surface management and why do I need it?▼

External attack surface management continuously discovers and inventories internet-facing assets like domains, IPs, and cloud resources to provide visibility of what attackers see. It risk-scores exposed APIs and administrative interfaces to flag critical exposures for remediation.

How do I discover exposed APIs and administrative interfaces in my cloud environment?▼

Discover exposed APIs and administrative interfaces by running continuous asset discovery across your cloud resources. The tool inventories internet-facing assets and classifies them by exposure and potential risk to pinpoint newly exposed vulnerabilities for remediation.

Can attack surface management detect subdomain takeover vulnerabilities?▼

Yes, attack surface management detects subdomain takeover vulnerabilities by continuously monitoring your external assets. It identifies misconfigured DNS records and flags them as critical exposures alongside expiring certificates to enable prompt remediation before exploitation.

How do I track changes in my attack surface over time?▼

Track attack surface changes over time using the built-in trend analysis feature. The tool continuously discovers newly exposed cloud resources, open ports, and assets, comparing current inventory states against historical data to identify emerging security risks.

Does continuous asset discovery work for large enterprise cloud deployments?▼

Yes, continuous asset discovery works for enterprise cloud deployments by automatically inventorying domains, IPs, and cloud resources at scale. It risk-scores all internet-facing assets to provide accurate visibility regardless of infrastructure size or complexity.
