High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I design scalable backend architectures for microservices?▼

Design scalable backend architectures by defining clear service boundaries, applying contract-first API design, and implementing resilience mechanisms. This ensures your microservices meet performance, reliability, and operability requirements across distributed systems.

What is the best way to plan a migration to an event-driven architecture?▼

Plan migrations to event-driven architectures by specifying inter-service communication patterns and event-driven data flows. This approach maintains reliability while implementing patterns like CQRS within your distributed systems.

How do you ensure resilience and observability in distributed systems?▼

Ensure resilience and observability in distributed systems by applying resilience mechanisms and integrating robust observability hooks. This combination guarantees clear service boundaries and reliable inter-service communication.

Can I use contract-first API design for an order service?▼

Yes, you can design a scalable REST API for an order service using contract-first API design. This method establishes clear boundaries and integrates built-in monitoring to meet your backend architecture requirements.

When do I need a service mesh for backend architecture?▼

You need a service mesh when planning migrations for distributed systems to manage inter-service communication patterns effectively. It helps maintain reliability while defining clear service boundaries and contracts.

How do I apply CQRS while maintaining backend reliability?▼

Apply CQRS by specifying event-driven data flows and clear service boundaries within your backend architecture. This pattern maintains reliability while separating read and write operations in distributed systems.
