SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill enables teams to systematically assess non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, security, reliability, and maintainability. It orchestrates a deterministic, multi-step workflow that gathers evidence, scores risk, and generates gate-ready outputs to inform decision-making.

Core Features & Use Cases

Structured NFR evaluation: automates evidence gathering, threshold interpretation, and cross-domain aggregation.
Deterministic scoring: provides repeatable PASS/CONCERNS/FAIL decisions based on standardized criteria.
Outputs & governance: produces an NFR assessment document and validation reports for artifact gating and stakeholder review.

Quick Start

Run the workflow with default steps to generate the initial NFR assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions about bmad-testarch-nfr

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I assess non-functional requirements for performance and security systematically?▼

You can assess non-functional requirements by orchestrating a deterministic, multi-step workflow that gathers evidence, interprets thresholds, and aggregates scores across architecture and product domains to generate a final NFR assessment report.

What is deterministic scoring for architecture risk assessment?▼

Deterministic scoring for architecture risk assessment provides repeatable PASS, CONCERNS, or FAIL decisions based on standardized criteria and structured evidence, ensuring consistent outcomes for artifact gating and stakeholder review.

How do I generate gate-ready validation reports for NFR evaluation?▼

You generate gate-ready validation reports by running an automated NFR evaluation workflow that gathers evidence and applies standardized threshold interpretation, outputting structured documents for stakeholder review and artifact gating.

Can I customize non-functional requirement thresholds for specific architecture domains?▼

Yes, you can customize non-functional requirement thresholds for specific architecture domains by providing a customization.toml file, which integrates with the default configuration through a three-layer merge process.

What is the best way to automate evidence gathering for reliability and maintainability assessments?▼

The best way to automate evidence gathering for reliability and maintainability assessments is using a structured NFR evaluation workflow that automates threshold interpretation and cross-domain aggregation to produce deterministic, evidence-based outcomes.

Do I need any specific dependencies to run a multi-domain NFR assessment workflow?▼

No specific dependencies are required to run the multi-domain NFR assessment workflow; it operates independently with default steps and frontmatter-driven configuration to generate the initial NFR assessment out of the box.
