SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill eliminates the manual setup burden when board-superpowers runs for the first time on a host-repo pair by provisioning host-wide manifest and per-repo state files, and by preparing the repo for bootstrap flow.

Core Features & Use Cases

Orchestrates host bootstrap and per-repo bootstrap in a deterministic, idempotent sequence (host manifest write, preflight, per-repo setup, routing injection, and state persistence).
Validates prerequisites (GitHub project status, labels, DSN enablement) and surfaces progress after each sub-step to ensure traceability and recoverability.
Supports post-bootstrap orientation with a first-time user guide to onboard the architect to subsequent workflows.

Quick Start

Run the host bootstrap script to initialize the host manifest and per-repo state for first-time use.

FAQPage Schema

How do I automate first-time host manifest and per-repo state bootstrap for a new repository?▼

This Skill automates host and per-repo state bootstrap by executing host manifest writes, preflight checks, per-repo setup, routing injection, and state persistence. It eliminates manual setup burden for board-superpowers on a first-time host and repository pair.

What prerequisites does the bootstrap flow validate before injecting routing blocks and writing state?▼

The bootstrap flow validates GitHub project status, manages labels, checks credentials and venv, and verifies DSN enablement. It surfaces progress after each sub-step to ensure traceability and recoverability during the host and per-repo setup sequence.

Can I use the bootstrap scripts to manage labels and credentials for a GitHub project?▼

Yes, the bootstrap process validates GitHub project status, manages labels, and configures credentials. It relies on scripts/bootstrap-host.sh and scripts/bootstrap-project.sh to handle these tasks while preparing the repository for the routing injection and state persistence phases.

Does running the host bootstrap script again duplicate per-repo state or overwrite existing routing blocks?▼

No, the bootstrap sequence is deterministic and idempotent. Running the host bootstrap script again safely re-applies host manifest writes, per-repo setup, and routing injection without duplicating per-repo state, ensuring recoverability and traceability across multiple executions.

What is the best way to onboard an architect after the initial host and per-repo bootstrap completes?▼

The best way to onboard an architect is through the built-in first-time user guide. This post-bootstrap orientation feature introduces subsequent workflows and board-superpowers processes immediately after the per-repo state writing and routing injection finish successfully.
