SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Brainstorming before building is often ad-hoc, leading to missed requirements and scattered ideas. This skill provides a structured approach to surface user intent, constraints, and design options early in the project.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Interactive questioning to clarify goals and constraints
  • Propose multiple approaches with trade-offs
  • Produce a clear design outline and a plan for next steps
  • Use cases include early concept exploration, feature ideation, and design scoping across domains

Quick Start

Begin by outlining the project context and asking one clarifying question at a time to refine goals and constraints.

Frequently Asked Questions about brainstorming

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema
How do I structure brainstorming to define project requirements and constraints?▼

To structure brainstorming for project requirements, use interactive questioning to clarify goals, surface user intent, and identify constraints. This approach prevents missed requirements and scattered ideas before building.

What is the best way to evaluate design approaches during ideation?▼

The best way to evaluate design approaches during ideation is to propose 2-3 distinct options, outline their specific trade-offs, and provide a recommended option for user approval to ensure informed decision-making.

How do I turn early concept exploration into a spec-ready document?▼

Turn concept exploration into a spec-ready document by refining goals through guided questions, selecting a recommended design approach, and producing a concise design outline that includes a plan for next steps and a document skeleton.

Does this guided brainstorming process work for feature ideation across different domains?▼

Yes, guided brainstorming works for feature ideation across different domains because it uses interactive questioning to surface specific user intent and constraints, making it adaptable to early concept exploration and design scoping in any field.

What do I need to start design scoping for a new feature?▼

To start design scoping for a new feature, begin by outlining the project context and asking one clarifying question at a time to refine goals and constraints before proposing multiple design approaches.
