SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill transforms vague concepts into well-defined project designs by engaging in a structured, Socratic dialogue to uncover requirements, explore alternatives, and validate the proposed solution incrementally.

Core Features & Use Cases

Idea Refinement: Clarifies the purpose, constraints, and success criteria of a new project or feature.
Architectural Exploration: Proposes and evaluates multiple design approaches, detailing their trade-offs.
Incremental Validation: Presents design sections for user feedback, ensuring alignment before proceeding.
Use Case: Before starting development on a new mobile app feature, use this Skill to brainstorm requirements, decide on the best technical approach (e.g., native vs. cross-platform), and get approval on the core architecture.

Quick Start

Use the Brainstorming skill to refine the idea of a new task management application.

Frequently Asked Questions about Brainstorming

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I refine a rough product idea into a concrete design?▼

To refine a rough product idea into a concrete design, engage in structured Socratic questioning to clarify purpose, constraints, and success criteria, then incrementally validate architectural choices through iterative feedback loops before implementation.

What is the best way to explore alternative architectures during project ideation?▼

The best way to explore alternative architectures during project ideation is to propose and evaluate multiple design approaches, systematically detailing their trade-offs and validating each section incrementally to ensure alignment with project requirements.

How do I gather requirements for a new mobile app feature before development?▼

To gather requirements for a new mobile app feature before development, use a phased approach involving understanding, exploration, design presentation, and planning handoff to decide technical approaches and get approval on core architecture.

Can I use structured brainstorming to decide between native and cross-platform development?▼

Yes, you can use structured brainstorming to decide between native and cross-platform development by exploring architectural alternatives and evaluating their specific trade-offs against your clarified constraints and success criteria.

When do I need to use Socratic questioning for product development?▼

You need to use Socratic questioning for product development during the initial conceptualization and design phases to uncover hidden requirements, validate proposed solutions incrementally, and ensure clarity on purpose before implementation begins.
