SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Brainstorming provides a structured, collaborative approach to exploring user intent, requirements, and design directions before implementation, reducing risk and rework.

Core Features & Use Cases

Guided ideation: asks the right questions to surface goals, constraints, and success criteria.
Design framing: produces preliminary design briefs, trade-off analyses, and evaluation criteria for features and components.
Guardrails and approvals: ensures designs are reviewed and approved before any implementation.

Quick Start

Provide a project context, then propose 2-3 approaches and obtain user approval before any design work.

Frequently Asked Questions about brainstorming

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I turn early-stage ideas into actionable design plans before implementation?▼

Guided brainstorming clarifies user intent and requirements by asking targeted questions to surface goals and constraints. This structured approach reduces risk and rework by producing design briefs and trade-off analyses before any implementation begins.

What is the best way to surface user intent and clarify feature requirements?▼

The best way to surface user intent is through guided ideation that asks targeted questions about goals, constraints, and success criteria. This collaborative exploration ensures stakeholders align on design directions before committing resources.

How do I create design briefs and acceptance criteria for new features?▼

You create design briefs and acceptance criteria through design framing, which evaluates preliminary approaches and documents trade-offs. Propose 2-3 approaches, obtain stakeholder approval, and define guardrails to ensure deliberate execution.

Can I use structured ideation for architecture sketches and stakeholder collaboration?▼

Yes, structured ideation supports early-stage feature exploration and architecture sketches while fostering collaboration across stakeholders. It guides questions, documents trade-offs, and records decisions to align teams before implementation.

When do I need a brainstorming process with guardrails and approvals for design?▼

You need a brainstorming process with guardrails and approvals when exploring design directions before implementation to reduce rework. It ensures designs are reviewed and approved, establishing evaluation criteria for safe execution.
