SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Transforms ambiguous project ideas into validated design plans that can be reviewed and approved before implementation.

Core Features & Use Cases

Explore project context and identify user needs to align goals.
Ask clarifying questions one at a time to refine requirements.
Propose 2-3 design approaches with trade-offs and recommendations.
Present design sections and obtain user approval before moving to implementation.
Transition to implementation by generating a plan and design doc via a structured process.

Quick Start

Begin by outlining the project context and asking one clarifying question at a time to refine the idea.

FAQPage Schema

How do I turn ambiguous project ideas into validated design plans?▼

To turn ambiguous project ideas into validated design plans, use a gated workflow that explores context, asks clarifying questions one at a time, and proposes approaches with trade-offs before generating a design doc for user approval.

What is the best way to structure early-stage ideation for product and UX design?▼

The best way to structure early-stage ideation for product and UX design is to follow a gated process: gather project context, ask clarifying questions to refine requirements, and present 2-3 design approaches with trade-offs and recommendations for approval.

How do I create a design document that requires approval before implementation?▼

To create a design document requiring approval before implementation, propose design sections sequentially, obtain user approval at each gate, and then transition to generating a final design doc via a structured writing-plans process.

Does this design planning workflow take implementation steps before I approve the design?▼

No, this design planning workflow does not take implementation steps before you approve the design. It strictly enforces a gated workflow where no implementation occurs until the user explicitly approves the proposed design sections.

Can I use this ideation process for architecture planning as well as product design?▼

Yes, you can use this ideation process for architecture planning as well as product and UX design. It accelerates early-stage ideation across these domains by guiding context gathering and design proposals before any implementation begins.

What are the limitations of using a gated workflow for design proposals?▼

A limitation of using a gated workflow for design proposals is that it requires explicit user approval at each section before moving forward, meaning no implementation steps are taken until the user approves, which can slow down rapid prototyping.
