SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

End-to-end orchestration of the semantic layer for a technical domain in Stratio Governance, reducing manual coordination across multiple phases and enabling repeatable deployments.

Core Features & Use Cases

Orchestrates all five pipeline phases (technical terms → ontology → business views → SQL mappings → semantic terms) in a single run, with an optional publication gate between mappings and semantic terms.
Provides per-phase diagnostics, status dashboards, and an execution plan to handle complete, partial, or failed runs, plus recovery options.
Supports Glossary Instruction Enrichment to pre-load phase-specific instructions and reference files, keeping planning context consistent across phases.

Quick Start

Provide the technical domain name to begin building the semantic layer; the skill will run all phases in sequence.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I build a semantic layer for a technical domain end to end?▼

Building a semantic layer involves orchestrating five sequential phases: technical terms, ontology creation, business views, SQL mappings, and semantic terms, with an optional publication gate between mappings and semantic terms.

What is the process for refreshing or regenerating an existing semantic layer?▼

Refreshing an existing semantic layer re-runs the five-phase pipeline sequence for the specified technical domain, providing per-phase diagnostics and recovery options to handle partial completions or failures.

Can I use Stratio Governance to enrich the glossary during semantic layer construction?▼

Yes, semantic layer construction supports Glossary Instruction Enrichment to pre-load phase-specific instructions and reference files, keeping planning context consistent and enriching the governance glossary throughout the pipeline.

How do I handle partial completion or failures when creating an ontology and semantic mappings?▼

When creating an ontology and semantic mappings, use per-phase diagnostics, status dashboards, and an execution plan to identify failures and apply robust recovery options to resume the pipeline from the point of partial completion.

What do I need to provide to start automating semantic layer creation in Stratio Governance?▼

To start automating semantic layer creation in Stratio Governance, you only need to provide the technical domain name; the skill will then run all five phases in sequence and orchestrate the end-to-end pipeline automatically.
