FAQPage Schema

How do I automate HubSpot segmentation with dynamic lists?▼

Automate HubSpot segmentation by using the HubSpot Lists API v3 to create dynamic lists that automatically update based on predefined contact criteria. This standardizes audience management for marketing campaigns and sales prioritization without manual list updates.

What segments should I create for marketing automation in HubSpot?▼

Core segments for marketing automation include marketing contacts, ICP tiers, engaged and unengaged audiences, customers, and partners. Establishing these foundational dynamic lists improves database health monitoring and enables automated propagation of deliverability rules.

Do I need a specific HubSpot property for ICP tiering to build dynamic lists?▼

Yes, ICP tiering requires a specific HubSpot property populated by workflows before building dynamic lists. You must configure these prerequisite properties so the Lists API v3 can automatically categorize contacts into their respective ICP tiers.

How do I exclude partners from HubSpot marketing campaigns using lists?▼

Exclude partners from HubSpot marketing campaigns by creating dedicated dynamic lists that identify partner contacts. These lists function as exclusion criteria within your active marketing campaigns to ensure partners do not receive irrelevant customer messaging.

Can I track engaged and unengaged contacts in HubSpot automatically?▼

Track engaged and unengaged contacts automatically by defining dynamic lists with engagement tracking criteria via the HubSpot Lists API v3. These lists continuously update as contact interaction data changes, supporting ongoing database health monitoring.

What are the limitations of using the HubSpot Lists API v3 for dynamic segmentation?▼

The HubSpot Lists API v3 requires prerequisite property configurations, such as an ICP property populated by workflows, to function correctly. Dynamic segmentation depends entirely on existing contact data accuracy, meaning incomplete property data will result in inaccurate list membership.
