What problem does it solve?

Testing BoxLang web-context code outside a web server by simulating HTTP requests and web contexts using bx-web-support, enabling reliable unit tests without a live web server.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Mock HTTP methods across GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, and PATCH to simulate real API interactions.
  • Create and run mock requests with mockRequestNew and mockRequestRun to exercise various payloads, headers, and paths.
  • Access a full web context inside handlers via getHTTPRequestData(), form, url, CGI, and related BIFs for accurate behavior validation.
  • Use as a dev/test dependency to prevent production web-runtime conflicts while validating edge cases and error handling.

Quick Start

Install bx-web-support and incorporate it into your test setup to begin simulating web requests and validating handler behavior.
