SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Canvas-design translates abstract design philosophies into tangible, publication-ready visuals (PNG or PDF) without relying on stock templates or templates, enabling original visual design work that communicates through form, color, and composition.

Core Features & Use Cases

Deterministic canvas generation from a defined philosophy to produce a single, high-quality page in PDF or PNG.
Font and typography integration using the fonts in ./canvas-fonts to ensure visual rhythm and consistency.
Supports embedding a subtle conceptual thread within the artwork for a nuanced, sophisticated reading.

Quick Start

Provide a design philosophy and a brief prompt, and I will generate a single-page PDF or PNG canvas that embodies the philosophy.

Frequently Asked Questions about canvas-design

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I generate poster design outputs from a design philosophy?▼

You can generate poster visuals from a design philosophy by providing a conceptual prompt that produces a single-page PDF or PNG canvas. The output applies deterministic constraints, using precise margins and non-overlapping layouts to communicate through form and color.

Can I output static visual art as a PDF or PNG without using templates?▼

Yes, you can output static visual art as a PDF or PNG without templates. The process translates abstract design philosophies into original, publication-ready visuals that rely on composition and visual language rather than pre-built stock layouts.

What is deterministic canvas generation for static artwork?▼

Deterministic canvas generation creates a museum-quality static artwork page by basing the output on a frontmatter-defined name and description. It enforces deterministic, design-forward constraints like precise margins and non-overlapping layouts to ensure consistent visual results.

How do I ensure consistent typography and visual rhythm in canvas design?▼

To ensure consistent typography and visual rhythm in canvas design, font choices are restricted to the designated canvas fonts directory. This integration maintains visual consistency and rhythmic structure across the generated PDF or PNG artwork.

Does canvas generation support embedding conceptual threads with minimal text?▼

Yes, canvas generation supports embedding a subtle conceptual thread within the artwork with minimal text. This allows for a nuanced, sophisticated reading of the static visual output while maintaining a design-forward aesthetic.

What are the layout constraints for generating museum-quality visual art?▼

The layout constraints for generating museum-quality visual art require precise margins and non-overlapping elements. Outputs must follow a visual language with minimal text, basing the design on a frontmatter-defined description to satisfy deterministic constraints.
