FAQPage Schema

How do I facilitate a structured EOS quarterly planning session for my leadership team?▼

EOS quarterly planning is facilitated through a structured half-day meeting covering Rock Scoring, Scorecard Review, V/TO Check, IDS, Rock Setting, and Conclusion. This framework scores outgoing Rocks, reviews trends, solves issues, and sets next quarter Rocks.

What is the best way to integrate existing Rocks and Scorecard data into quarterly planning?▼

Integrate existing Rocks, Scorecards, V/TO, and Issues files directly into the quarterly planning session. The Skill pulls this data automatically to inform leadership decisions, review performance trends, and ensure new Rocks align with the 1-Year Plan.

How does the IDS process work during an EOS leadership meeting?▼

The IDS process during quarterly planning is a structured section where leadership teams Identify, Discuss, and Solve key issues. It uses data from your V/TO and Issue files to tackle obstacles systematically before setting new Rocks for the upcoming quarter.

Can I use this quarterly planning framework to bridge the gap between weekly L10 meetings and annual planning?▼

Yes, quarterly planning bridges weekly L10 meetings and annual planning by maintaining execution momentum and strategic alignment. It reviews Scorecard trends and updates Rocks every quarter, preventing drift from the overall vision and annual goals.

Do I need existing V/TO and Issue files to run a quarterly planning session?▼

Existing V/TO, Issue, Rock, and Scorecard files are required to run a quarterly planning session. The framework integrates this data to confirm vision alignment, review performance, and ensure newly set Rocks are properly informed by current metrics.

What are the limitations of using a structured agenda for setting Rocks?▼

The structured agenda requires a dedicated half-day leadership meeting and pre-existing data files for Rocks, Scorecards, V/TO, and Issues. Without these inputs, the framework cannot effectively score outgoing Rocks or set aligned objectives for the next quarter.
