Frequently Asked Questions about character-rigging

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create a data-driven 2D character rig for local animation?▼

Data-driven 2D character rigging uses JSON configuration to define parts, pivot points, layers, and motion constraints. This framework allows you to construct detailed skeletal structures for local animation workflows.

Can I define custom joint and motion constraints in a 2D animation pipeline using JSON?▼

Yes, you can define custom joint and motion constraints using JSON-based configuration. The rigging process utilizes JSON to establish specific pivot points and movement properties, ensuring smooth motion within the 2D animation pipeline.

What is the best way to set up parts and pivot points for a 2D character rig?▼

The best way to set up parts and pivot points is by using a data-driven rig configuration. You define character parts, pivot points, and constraints within a JSON file to establish a reusable rig package for local animation.

Do I need any external dependencies to build a data-driven rig?▼

No external dependencies are required to build a data-driven rig. The framework operates independently using JSON configuration to define structural elements like layers, views, and reusable rig packages for your animation workflow.

Are reusable rig packages supported for 2D character animation?▼

Yes, reusable rig packages are supported. The data-driven rigging framework allows you to define structural configurations in JSON, which can be packaged and reused across different characters in your local animation pipeline.
