What problem does it solve?
It validates that the chat UI works end-to-end and that real faults are surfaced in the correct user-facing components, preventing silent failures and hung spinners from shipping.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Fixed happy-path battery: Runs a consistent set of common chat flows (new chat, responses, npx/tool execution, skills, attachments, artifacts, session reload continuity, title generation, parallel-session isolation).
- Fault-injection battery with recovery checks: Injects specific failures (sandbox killed mid-turn, host restarted mid-turn, LLM provider/key rejection, and a temporary network drop) and verifies the UI shows an error and recovers afterward.
- Evidence-backed findings reporting: Captures snapshots, console/network evidence, and produces a PASS/GLITCH/FAIL/SKIP report using a prescribed template.
Quick Start
Run chat-qa-sweep against the running ax-next-dev kind cluster to generate a findings report covering both common UI flows and fault-recovery behavior.
