SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Check if your changes considered all dimensions. Most bugs come from "didn't think of it", not lack of technical skill.

Core Features & Use Cases

Cross-layer verification across API, services, storage, UI, and utilities.
Guidance for code reuse, import-path validation, and same-layer consistency.
Triggered after multi-layer changes or batch edits to ensure coherence. Use case: When you modify shared constants or configs across multiple layers, this skill verifies consistency.

Quick Start

Run the cross-layer check after implementing changes that span multiple layers to validate coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions about check-cross-layer

FAQPage Schema

How do I verify cross-layer changes across API, service, and data layers?▼

Cross-layer verification identifies missed updates across code dimensions by checking data-flow, code reuse, and import-path consistency. It ensures changes spanning API, service, storage, and UI layers remain coherent after batch edits or shared-constant modifications.

When do I need cross-layer change verification for my architecture?▼

Cross-layer verification is needed when changes touch three or more architectural layers, such as API, service, data, or UI. It applies after batch edits or shared-constant updates to enforce same-layer alignment and prevent missed updates.

What is the best way to check code consistency after modifying shared constants?▼

The best way to check code consistency after modifying shared constants is running a cross-layer verification process. It validates cross-layer data-flow, import-path consistency, and same-layer alignment to ensure all affected dimensions are updated coherently.

How do I prevent missed updates when making batch edits across multiple layers?▼

To prevent missed updates during batch edits, run a cross-layer check to validate coverage across API, service, storage, and UI layers. It enforces code reuse consistency and import-path validation to catch overlooked changes.

Does cross-layer verification work for changes spanning UI and storage layers?▼

Cross-layer verification works for changes spanning UI and storage layers by enforcing cross-layer data-flow and same-layer alignment. It triggers when modifications affect three or more architectural layers, ensuring coherent updates across all dimensions.
