What problem does it solve?

Check RocketChat for new messages since the last time you checked. It writes a per-channel last-read timestamp to track state and remains intentionally stateful for polling workflows.

  • Polls RocketChat channels for new messages since last read
  • Filters out messages from the user (archon) to avoid self-notifications
  • Persists per-channel read state in .persistent-memory/rocketchat-last-read.json for continuity across sessions
  • Use case: a bot keeps teams informed of new conversations without re-reading history
