SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This skill provides expert guidance for designing and managing BPA classification catalogs (lookup tables, country codes, and document-type lists) to ensure consistent data governance across eRegistrations workflows.

Core Features & Use Cases

Catalog creation and naming conventions for classification data
Adding and updating entries (determinants) with validation against standards
Applying country codes and exporting/importing catalogs for reuse across services

Quick Start

Create a new classification catalog named 'country-codes' and populate it with ISO country codes using BPA MCP actions.

Frequently Asked Questions about classification-design

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create and populate a BPA classification catalog with ISO country codes?▼

To create a BPA classification catalog, establish naming conventions and populate entries with determinants validated against ISO standards. This process requires calling BPA classification APIs to create, populate, and verify catalogs for consistent data governance across workflows.

What is the best way to maintain lookup tables for consistent data governance across eRegistrations services?▼

Maintaining lookup tables for consistent data governance involves designing classification catalogs with standardized entries and applying validation rules. Exporting and importing these catalogs across multiple deployments ensures consistency and reuse throughout eRegistrations workflows.

Do I need an authenticated BPA MCP server to manage classification catalogs?▼

Yes, managing classification catalogs requires an authenticated BPA MCP server, a registered instance, and the ability to call BPA classification APIs. These prerequisites allow you to create, populate, and verify catalogs effectively.

Can I export and reuse BPA classification catalogs across multiple deployments?▼

Yes, you can export and import BPA classification catalogs for reuse across multiple deployments. This functionality supports consistent governance by allowing standardized lookup tables, country codes, and document-type lists to be shared across various eRegistrations services.

What are the naming conventions for adding determinants to a BPA classification catalog?▼

Adding determinants to a BPA classification catalog requires following established naming conventions and validating entries against standards like ISO country codes. This ensures classification data remains consistent and governed properly across all connected workflows.

When should I not use a single classification catalog for all document-type lists?▼

You should avoid using a single classification catalog when document-type lists require different validation standards or governance rules. Designing separate, purpose-specific catalogs with strict naming conventions prevents data misalignment across multiple deployments.
