The Skill preserves your existing CLAUDE.md or merges changes into it based on your preference. During onboarding or review, you select whether to keep your current configuration or generate a tailored version, ensuring no loss of your established settings.

The interactive workflow covers four stages: technical background (experience level and stack), development style (coding practices and preferences), AI collaboration (how you work with assistants), and communication (tone and documentation preferences). Answers are applied progressively across stages.

No prerequisite expertise is required. The Skill guides you through straightforward questions about your workflow and preferences in natural language. You confirm the generated CLAUDE.md before it's written, so you maintain full control over the output.

The Skill supports both global and project scope configurations. Teams can establish shared standards in a project-level CLAUDE.md, while individual developers can also create personalized versions for their own AI interactions.
