💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This skill helps researchers and practitioners perform focused, source-aware literature reviews in communications, delivering findings in a structured, reusable format with policy-aware sourcing.

Core Features & Use Cases

Policy-driven search: prioritizes IEEE Xplore and ScienceDirect, then ACM DL, to surface formal publications first.
Structured output: produces a literature table plus a narrative synthesis aligned to the provided output-template.
Use Case: prepare a related-work section for a journal paper or a landscape study across wireless, networking, NTN, and cross-layer topics.

Quick Start

Run a focused literature review on a communications topic using IEEE Xplore and ScienceDirect first, then ACM Digital Library, and output the results in the structured report template.

Frequently Asked Questions about comm-lit-review

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I conduct a structured literature review for wireless and networking topics?▼

A structured literature review for wireless and networking topics identifies and synthesizes formal publications into a literature table and narrative synthesis. It prioritizes IEEE Xplore and ScienceDirect, then ACM DL, to cover foundational and recent cross-layer work.

Can I use ScienceDirect and IEEE Xplore sources for a satellite communications related-work section?▼

Yes, ScienceDirect and IEEE Xplore sources are prioritized for a satellite communications related-work section. The synthesis process scopes satellite/NTN and mobility topics, extracting formal publications to build a compact literature table and narrative.

What is the best way to synthesize cross-layer communications publications into a literature table?▼

The best way to synthesize cross-layer communications publications into a literature table is by querying IEEE Xplore and ScienceDirect first, then ACM DL. Results follow a structured output template and source-policy guidelines for reusable narrative synthesis.

Does the literature review process support venue tiering for ACM Digital Library and ScienceDirect sources?▼

Yes, venue tiering is supported for ACM Digital Library and ScienceDirect sources. A source-policy prioritizes IEEE Xplore and ScienceDirect first, then ACM DL, ensuring formal publications are weighted correctly across wireless and networking domains.

What are the limitations of using automated literature reviews for networking and mobility research?▼

Limitations of automated literature reviews for networking research include a strict source-policy restricting scope to IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, and ACM DL. This venue tiering may exclude informal preprints or non-English sources outside the prioritized databases.
