What problem does it solve?

This Skill systematizes and accelerates competitive intelligence so product teams can move from ad-hoc notes to repeatable, comparable research that informs strategy, positioning, and roadmap decisions.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Sequential, agent-driven research: Run a focused analysis for each competitor (10–15 minutes each) to ensure consistent, reliable coverage.
  • Structured outputs: Save one markdown file per competitor and a synthesis file with executive summary, comparison tables, pricing breakdowns, and prioritized recommendations.
  • Compounding knowledge: Keep research in a dedicated directory so future updates are fast and previous rounds can be compared.
  • Integrations: Optionally create a Linear issue with the executive summary and top recommendations to track follow-up actions.
  • Privacy-first setup guidance: Recommends saving files outside company codebases to protect sensitive analysis.

Quick Start

Analyze three competitors by name or URL focusing on pricing and product features and save the research to ~/Documents/pm-work/competitive-research.
