SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides pre-built, reusable components for common Convex backend features, saving developers time and effort by offering robust, tested solutions for presence, collaborative editing, and email sending.

Core Features & Use Cases

Presence Management: Real-time tracking of users in rooms or applications.
Collaborative Editing: Integrates ProseMirror/BlockNote for shared document editing.
Email Sending: Simplifies sending emails via Resend with queueing and idempotency.
Use Case: Integrate real-time user presence into a chat application or enable collaborative document editing within a project management tool.

Quick Start

Configure the presence component in your convex/convex.config.ts file by importing and using the presence configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions about convex-components

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I add real-time presence tracking to a Convex application?▼

Real-time presence tracking in Convex is implemented by configuring a pre-built presence component within the `convex/convex.config.ts` file, abstracting complex backend logic into an easily configurable module for tracking users in rooms.

Can I use ProseMirror or BlockNote for collaborative editing in Convex?▼

Yes, collaborative editing in Convex supports both ProseMirror and BlockNote integrations, enabling shared document editing by abstracting the synchronization logic into a reusable component configured within your backend.

What is the best way to send emails via Resend in a Convex backend?▼

The best way to send emails via Resend in Convex is using a pre-built email component that manages dispatch with built-in queueing and idempotency, configured directly through component composition in `convex/convex.config.ts`.

Do I need to manually manage complex backend infrastructure for collaborative text editing in Convex?▼

No, you do not need to manually manage complex backend infrastructure for collaborative text editing. This functionality is abstracted into pre-built, tested modules that facilitate rapid development through unified backend management.

How do I configure multiple pre-built components like email and presence together in Convex?▼

You configure multiple pre-built components like email and presence together by importing and using them within the `convex/convex.config.ts` file, which supports component composition for unified backend management.
