SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Convex development often lacks a single, discoverable guide that consolidates patterns across functions, schemas, realtime, and agents. This umbrella skill provides a centralized entry point to route to specialized Convex sub-skills, helping teams stay consistent and accelerate onboarding.

Core Features & Use Cases

Central index of Convex development patterns (functions, schema, realtime, etc.)
Quick access to specialized sub-skills for backend, data, security, and integration
Onboard new engineers with consistent patterns, references, and best practices

Quick Start

Start by selecting a specific Convex sub-skill (for example convex-functions) to begin implementing backend logic.

FAQPage Schema

What is the best way to structure a Convex backend for real-time data and schemas?▼

Structuring a Convex backend is best handled through a centralized index of development patterns covering functions, schemas, and real-time data to ensure consistent onboarding and implementation.

How do I onboard new engineers to build applications with Convex?▼

Onboard new engineers by providing a structured, end-to-end guide for building Convex-based applications, utilizing ready patterns, references, and best practices for backend development.

Does this Convex development guide cover agent patterns and functions?▼

Yes, this Convex development guide covers agent patterns and functions by acting as an umbrella skill that routes developers to specialized sub-skills for backend logic, data, and security.

How do I start implementing backend logic using Convex?▼

Start implementing backend logic by selecting a specific Convex sub-skill, such as convex-functions, to apply specialized patterns and references for your application's real-time data needs.

Can I use a single guide to consolidate Convex patterns for functions, realtime, and agents?▼

Yes, you can use a single umbrella guide to consolidate Convex patterns for functions, realtime, and agents, providing a centralized entry point to route to specialized sub-skills.

Why should I use an umbrella skill for Convex development instead of scattered references?▼

Using an umbrella skill for Convex development solves the lack of a discoverable guide, helping teams stay consistent, accelerate onboarding, and quickly access specialized sub-skills.
