Use Case: Seed your CRM application with a predefined list of room types and property details.

Quick Start

Use the data-seeding skill to define a new room type instance in your SCL file.

Frequently Asked Questions about data-seeding

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I seed initial data into my Simple Platform application?▼

Seed initial data into your Simple Platform application by defining records declaratively using SCL instance blocks. This approach ensures environment consistency and version control for static configurations like CRM room types.

What is the best way to prevent duplicate data entries during deployments?▼

Preventing duplicate data entries during deployments is achieved through idempotent data seeding. By defining static records with SCL instance blocks, you guarantee consistent IDs and prevent duplication across multiple deployment cycles.

How do you handle field values and relations when defining seed data?▼

Handling field values and relations in seed data involves using specific SCL instance block syntax. This method allows you to define records and map relational fields correctly to ensure data integrity across your application environments.

Can I guarantee environment consistency for my application's static configuration?▼

You can guarantee environment consistency for static configurations by using declarative data seeding. Defining your initial data with SCL instance blocks ensures that IDs and records remain identical from development through production.

How should I organize seed data files for version control?▼

Organize seed data files for version control by following best practices for SCL instance blocks. Structuring your declarative records properly ensures data integrity and maintains clear version history for static application configurations.

When do I need to use SCL instance blocks for database configuration?▼

You need to use SCL instance blocks for database configuration when you must populate initial data or static records. This process provides a standardized, version-controlled method for ensuring consistent application setups across environments.
