SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) and assets (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill prevents missed UK legal clinic deadlines by maintaining a cross-case, up-to-date deadline ledger and surfacing overdue and upcoming items when you need them most.

Core Features & Use Cases

Deadline ledger management: add new deadlines, update details, mark completion, and close items with recorded rationale.
Cross-case rollup reporting: generate a prioritized report for overdue items and the next warning windows, grouped by owner and practice area.
ET-specific guardrails: flag Employment Tribunal deadlines that lack ACAS early conciliation certificate details so supervisors can verify urgently.
Jurisdiction-aware plausibility checks: apply configurable “typical range” sanity bands (defaulting to England & Wales) and warn when the band file is missing or the date is outside expected ranges.

Quick Start

Use the deadlines skill to add a new clinic deadline by asking it to run with the add mode and the deadline details you want tracked.

FAQPage Schema

How do I track legal clinic case deadlines across multiple students and practice areas?▼

Legal clinic case deadline tracking is managed by maintaining a cross-case ledger that records, updates, and closes deadlines while grouping rollup reports by owner and practice area. Entries are persisted in a deadlines.yaml ledger to ensure no case date is missed.

What is the best way to generate a deadline report for overdue and upcoming UK legal clinic cases?▼

Generating a deadline report for overdue and upcoming legal clinic cases requires running a cross-case rollup that prioritizes items by warning thresholds. The report groups deadlines by owner and practice area, highlighting overdue items and approaching warning windows for immediate action.

How do jurisdiction-aware plausibility checks work for legal deadline tracking?▼

Jurisdiction-aware plausibility checks apply configurable typical range sanity bands, defaulting to England & Wales, to validate deadline dates. The system warns you when the band file is missing or when a entered date falls outside the expected typical range for that jurisdiction.

Can I use OSCOLA formatting with a deadline tracking system for legal clinics?▼

OSCOLA formatting is supported as a referenced component within the legal clinic deadline tracking environment. The tracking system operates alongside OSCOLA references to ensure case deadline management aligns with UK academic and legal citation standards.
