SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Demand planning predicts future product and material requirements to ensure inventory levels meet demand while minimizing stockouts and excess stock. It combines historical data, market signals, and business plans to produce a forward-looking forecast that guides procurement, production, and inventory decisions.

Core Features & Use Cases

Historical data analysis and forecast generation to predict demand by product, SKU, or family.
Safety stock calculation and MRP/production planning to translate forecasts into actionable buy and build plans.
Scenario modeling and S&OP alignment to evaluate what-if changes and support leadership decision-making.

Quick Start

Ask your AI to generate a 12-month demand forecast and a corresponding safety stock plan from your latest sales, inventory, and lead-time data.

FAQPage Schema

How do I forecast demand to optimize inventory and supply chain operations?▼

Demand forecasting predicts future product and material requirements by combining historical data, market signals, and business plans to produce a forward-looking forecast that guides procurement, production, and inventory decisions.

What's the best way to calculate safety stock and generate MRP plans from sales data?▼

Calculate safety stock and MRP plans by translating demand forecasts into actionable buy and build plans, using your latest sales, inventory, and lead-time data to determine optimal procurement and production schedules.

Can I use scenario modeling for S&OP alignment with mid-to-large supply chains?▼

Scenario modeling supports S&OP alignment for mid-to-large supply chains by evaluating what-if changes, allowing leadership to assess demand variations and adjust procurement and production planning accordingly.

Does demand planning require historical data analysis before generating a forecast?▼

Historical data analysis is required before generating a demand forecast, as it forms the baseline for predicting demand by product, SKU, or family and calculating accurate safety stock levels.

How do I run a what-if scenario model for demand planning and production planning?▼

Run what-if scenario models by adjusting forecast variables and lead-time inputs to evaluate changes in demand, then align the results with production planning and S&OP processes to support leadership decision-making.
