💡 This Skill requires xmllint, bc, and includes scripts (resource) and assets (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Pre-deployment validation is often manual and error-prone; this skill provides a structured checklist to catch metadata issues, gaps in test coverage, and misconfigurations before pushing changes to production.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automated metadata quality checks during pre-deployment
Validation of XML well-formedness, API version currency, missing meta.xml files, and deprecated patterns
Security, permissions, and dependency validation with deployment readiness reporting
Generates a reusable deployment checklist and remediation guidance

Quick Start

Run the readiness check before deployment to validate metadata quality, test coverage, and configuration accuracy.

FAQPage Schema

How do I validate Salesforce metadata before a production deployment?▼

You can validate Salesforce metadata before production by executing a structured pre-deployment checklist that inspects XML well-formedness, API version currency, and security configurations to catch metadata issues and configuration errors.

What is included in a pre-deployment readiness checklist for Salesforce?▼

A Salesforce pre-deployment readiness checklist includes validating XML well-formedness, checking API version currency, identifying missing meta.xml files, detecting deprecated patterns, verifying test coverage thresholds, and reviewing security permissions.

Does the deployment readiness check work with xmllint and bc dependencies?▼

Yes, the deployment readiness check requires xmllint to validate XML well-formedness and bc to calculate test coverage thresholds, ensuring metadata quality and readiness before pushing changes to production.

How do I check test coverage gaps and security configurations in Salesforce metadata?▼

You can check test coverage gaps and security configurations by applying a structured validation process across release packages that verifies test coverage thresholds and security permissions, then generates a deployment readiness report with actionable remediation steps.

Why does my Salesforce deployment fail due to missing meta.xml files or deprecated patterns?▼

Salesforce deployments fail when metadata lacks proper configuration files or uses deprecated patterns, which a pre-deployment validation check identifies by scanning for missing meta.xml files and deprecated patterns before production deployment.
