It helps users verify they truly understand a DES artifact (not just its headings) by converting artifact-specific learning notes into targeted concept-check and applied questions.
Ask your agent to generate an artifact quiz from your DES learning notes for a specific phase, then save it to _des-output/learning-artifacts/{phase}-artifact-quiz.md.

To generate a data engineering quiz, provide your learning notes to the agent and ask it to create an artifact quiz. It converts the notes into multi-type questions, an answer key, and a scoring guide to test understanding rather than memorization.
A concept-check quiz for DES artifacts tests your understanding of core data engineering concepts and why each section exists rather than just headings. It evaluates practical judgment, design reasoning, and detection of common mistakes through applied scenarios.
You create an assessment by asking your agent to generate a quiz from learning notes for a specific DES phase. The generated assessment evaluates practical judgment, design reasoning, and detection of common mistakes, saving to a designated markdown file.
Yes, you need SOUL.md and knowledge/FUNDAMENTALS-MAP.md files to generate an artifact quiz. The quiz generation process stops when these required inputs are missing, ensuring the assessment is properly grounded.
If required inputs are missing for quiz generation, the process stops immediately. It requires SOUL.md and knowledge/FUNDAMENTALS-MAP.md to ensure the generated quiz accurately reflects the DES artifact learning materials.
Yes, you can test applied scenarios and trade-offs in a data engineering quiz. The generated assessment evaluates practical judgment, design reasoning, and the detection of common mistakes tied to any DES phase.
