Frequently Asked Questions about design-md

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create a semantic design system from Stitch project assets?▼

To create a semantic design system from Stitch project assets, this skill extracts design tokens, typography, and spacing metadata to generate a formal DESIGN.md file. This output codifies your visual language and serves as the source of truth for prompting future screen generation.

What is a DESIGN.md file used for in a design system workflow?▼

A DESIGN.md file is used in a design system workflow to structure design tokens, typography, spacing, and layout guidelines into clean, descriptive language. It acts as a formal source of truth that enables consistent screen generation and design language across future project work.

Do I need Stitch MCP Server data to extract design tokens and color themes?▼

Yes, you need access to Stitch MCP Server data to extract design tokens and color theme metadata. The skill requires this server data to map visual elements from designed screens into the descriptive language used in the generated DESIGN.md file.

How to generate a source of truth for prompting future UI screens?▼

You generate a source of truth for prompting future UI screens by analyzing a Stitch project to extract its visual language and design tokens. The skill synthesizes these elements into a comprehensive DESIGN.md file suitable for guiding consistent screen generation.

Can I use this to extract color palettes and typography from existing designed screens?▼
