SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill addresses the inefficiency of tackling multiple independent tasks sequentially, enabling faster resolution by running investigations or tasks in parallel.

Core Features & Use Cases

Parallel Task Execution: Dispatches multiple agents concurrently to work on distinct, non-dependent problems.
Focused Agent Scoping: Guides the creation of specific, self-contained tasks for each agent.
Use Case: When debugging a system with several unrelated test failures, this Skill allows you to assign each failure to a separate agent, drastically reducing the overall debugging time.

Quick Start

Use the dispatching-parallel-agents skill to fix the failures in agent-tool-abort.test.ts, batch-completion-behavior.test.ts, and tool-approval-race-conditions.test.ts concurrently.

Frequently Asked Questions about dispatching-parallel-agents

FAQPage Schema

How do I debug multiple failing test files with different root causes at the same time?▼

Debugging multiple failing test files concurrently is achieved by dispatching parallel agents, assigning each isolated test failure to a separate agent for focused problem solving. This drastically reduces overall debugging time by executing independent investigations simultaneously rather than sequentially.

What is parallel agent dispatch for concurrent task execution?▼

Parallel agent dispatch is a task management technique that sends multiple independent agents to address distinct problems concurrently. It optimizes problem-solving workflows by ensuring each agent receives a focused, self-contained prompt with clear goals and constraints to resolve isolated issues without dependencies.

How do I scope tasks for parallel agents to ensure they do not conflict?▼

Scoping tasks for parallel agents requires creating specific, self-contained prompts for each agent with clear goals and constraints. You must assign one agent per isolated issue, ensuring each task is independent and non-dependent to facilitate faster concurrent resolution without conflicts.

Can I run concurrent investigations on unrelated test failures to speed up resolution?▼

Yes, you can run concurrent investigations on unrelated test failures to speed up resolution. The dispatching-parallel-agents approach enables you to assign each separate failure to a distinct agent, leveraging concurrent execution to tackle multiple independent debugging tasks simultaneously.

When should I avoid using parallel agents for problem solving?▼

You should avoid using parallel agents for problem solving when your tasks have dependencies or share root causes. This approach is designed for distinct, non-dependent problems; using it on interdependent issues breaks the focused, self-contained agent scoping required for effective concurrent execution.

Does dispatching parallel agents work for batch fixing multiple test files?▼

Yes, dispatching parallel agents works for batch fixing multiple test files by concurrently assigning each file to a separate agent. This allows you to address distinct failures in files like agent-tool-abort and batch-completion tests simultaneously, optimizing the debugging workflow.
