What problem does it solve?

Large monorepos accumulate bloated CLAUDE.md files at the root, making it hard for modules to evolve independently. doc-subcontext creates a per-subdirectory CLAUDE.md that inherits from the parent, captures only locally unique conventions, and keeps the root lean.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Inherits from ../CLAUDE.md and documents only module-specific conventions.
  • Keeps content to about 50–100 lines to prevent duplication and drift.
  • Works with doc-lifecycle and compress-skill to manage decisions and shrinkage.
  • Helps contributors understand module-specific standards without duplicating global rules.

Quick Start

Draft a lean per-module CLAUDE.md by reading the parent and recording only local differences.
