What problem does it solve?

PDFs and EPUB documents arrive as binary assets that are hard to edit or reuse. This skill provides a reproducible path to convert those documents into Markdown for editing, versioning, and knowledge sharing.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Deterministic PDF → Markdown: Converts PDFs to Markdown with front-matter-aware adjustments and Pandoc-based normalization.
  • EPUB → Markdown: Converts EPUBs to Markdown with optional media extraction and configurable Markdown flavors.
  • Use Case: When updating a documentation bundle, regenerate all Markdown outputs to keep content in sync with source PDFs/EPUBs.

Quick Start

Preview conversions with a dry-run to preview targets before writing outputs, then run the conversion with overwrite when you want to update Markdown files.
