FAQPage Schema

How do I keep project documentation consistent when multiple teams are updating docs?▼

To keep project documentation consistent, you can enforce a shared repository template and governance rules for versioning and reviews. This standardizes new features and architectural changes, reducing drift and onboarding time across teams.

What is the best way to manage documentation versioning and cross-references?▼

The best way to manage documentation versioning and cross-references is to apply governance workflows that enforce standard templates and link docs to relevant skills. This ensures proper cross-references and keeps knowledge-base entries current.

How do I create a new documentation entry that follows standard governance rules?▼

To create a documentation entry following governance rules, use the repository's standard docs template and include frontmatter with a name and description. Ensure the new doc references associated skills to maintain proper cross-linking.

Do I need frontmatter to update existing knowledge-base docs?▼

Yes, updating existing knowledge-base docs requires frontmatter with name and description fields. Enforcing this standard template alongside cross-references to related skills ensures architectural changes and pattern updates remain consistent.

Why does project documentation drift from the original standard template over time?▼

Project documentation drifts over time when teams lack enforced governance workflows and standard templates. Applying shared documentation rules for versioning and updates prevents inconsistencies when adding new features or architectural changes.
