Frequently Asked Questions about dp-review-consistency

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I check narrative continuity across chapters in a manuscript?▼

Narrative continuity across chapters is verified by applying a structured, rule-based review to your manuscript. This process evaluates timelines, spatial consistency, character states, and world rules against your draft and spec files to produce a formal continuity report.

What is the Claremont metric for foreshadowing tracking?▼

The Claremont metric is a computed score used in foreshadowing tracking to quantify cross-chapter reference validation. It evaluates how well narrative threads and foreshadowing elements align across the full manuscript to identify unresolved story arcs.

How do I track character state and world rules across multiple chapters?▼

You track character state and world rules across multiple chapters by reading draft.md, spec.md, prior releases, and tracking files together. A rule-based review validates spatial continuity and disclosure alignment, outputting a formal report of any detected inconsistencies.

Does a consistency review automatically edit my manuscript draft?▼

A consistency review does not automatically edit your manuscript draft. It reads your draft.md and spec.md to produce a formal continuity report, catching cross-chapter inconsistencies as defects without modifying the original manuscript files.

What files do I need to prepare for a cross-chapter consistency check?▼

For a cross-chapter consistency check, you need to prepare your current chapter draft.md, spec.md, prior releases, and tracking files. Loading these into the review workflow evaluates timeline and event alignment to generate a formal continuity report.
