What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps operators and AI agents install, configure, and use the dremio-cli to manage Dremio Software and Dremio Cloud from the command line, removing the need to craft raw API requests and reducing manual, error-prone workflows.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Profile-based Authentication & Configuration: Create and switch named profiles for Software and Cloud, or use environment variables for automation.
  • Catalog, SQL, and Job Management: Execute and validate SQL, poll and manage jobs, list and inspect catalog objects with machine-readable JSON/YAML output.
  • Dremio-as-Code (GitOps): Sync catalog objects to local YAML and SQL files for pull/push Git workflows, enabling reproducible deployments and reviews.
  • Operational Tasks: Create sources, manage spaces/folders, set tags and wiki content, and manage users, roles, and grants for governance.

Quick Start

Install dremio-cli, create a cloud profile with your PAT for the target project, and return the catalog list in JSON format.
