FAQPage Schema

How do I monitor AWS resources across multiple accounts using Dynatrace?▼

Unified AWS resource visibility in Dynatrace consolidates EC2, RDS, Lambda, and ECS/EKS health across multi-account environments. It applies standardized discovery patterns and DQL to accelerate root-cause investigation, capacity planning, and cost optimization.

Can I use Dynatrace for AWS cost optimization and security compliance analysis?▼

Yes, Dynatrace centralizes AWS metrics, health, and security posture data including VPC networking, security groups, and encryption configurations. This enables targeted cost optimization and security compliance analysis across multi-account environments.

What is the best way to triage AWS incidents with Dynatrace Smartscape?▼

Using Dynatrace Smartscape for AWS incident triage leverages automated topology mapping across EC2, RDS, and Lambda resources. This provides standardized discovery patterns and referenced task guides to enable deterministic root-cause investigations.

Does this approach support monitoring serverless AWS services like Lambda and ECS?▼

Yes, this AWS monitoring approach fully supports serverless services like Lambda and ECS/EKS. It applies standardized metric naming conventions and topology mapping to integrate these compute resources into centralized capacity planning and incident triage.

How do I run a quick inventory of AWS resources in my Dynatrace environment?▼

To run a quick AWS resource inventory in Dynatrace, utilize the included DQL reference patterns to list discovered EC2, S3, SQS, and RDS resources. This provides immediate visibility into your multi-account environment for troubleshooting and analysis.
