FAQPage Schema

How do I build a type-safe backend with Bun?▼

You can build a type-safe Bun backend by using a Bun-first server framework that unifies routing, validation, and OpenAPI generation to ensure end-to-end type safety from route to response.

Does TypeBox validation work automatically with backend routing?▼

Yes, TypeBox validation is integrated directly into the routing layer, automatically validating request data and generating OpenAPI schemas to maintain strict type safety across your backend services.

How do I set up a minimal Bun server for a REST API?▼

To set up a minimal Bun server for a REST API, define explicit routes within the framework to quickly create a GET endpoint that returns a simple response like Hello World.

Can I use Eden Treaty for frontend and backend type synchronization?▼

Yes, Eden Treaty integration provides end-to-end type synchronization between your frontend and backend, allowing you to consume backend routes with full type safety without manual API client generation.

What is the best way to scale a backend with WebSocket support?▼

The best way to scale a backend with WebSocket support is using a framework that offers a rich plugin architecture and seamless ORM integrations, enabling robust real-time services and scalable deployment.

When should I not use a Bun-first backend framework?▼

You should avoid a Bun-first backend framework if your production environment lacks Bun runtime support, as this framework relies explicitly on Bun-first architecture to deliver its integrated type safety and validation features.
