Core Features & Use Cases

Two-tier sunset system: Tier 1 triggers a re-engagement campaign after a configurable inactivity window; Tier 2 suppresses contacts that fail to re-engage within a configurable re-engagement window.
Configurable windows and properties: Use a custom suppression/status property to track contact state and drive decisions.
Hand-off options: Use manual UI builds, Breeze AI, or Claude Chrome extension to implement and maintain the workflow with guardrails and re-enrollment rules.

Quick Start

Configure your sunset window and re-engagement window, then enable the workflow to automatically re-engage or suppress contacts.

FAQPage Schema

How do I build a sunset workflow in HubSpot to re-engage dormant contacts?▼

A sunset workflow in HubSpot automates re-engagement and suppression for dormant contacts using a two-tier system. Tier 1 triggers a re-engagement campaign after a configurable inactivity window, while Tier 2 suppresses contacts who fail to respond within a set re-engagement window.

What is a two-tier suppression workflow and when do I need it?▼

A two-tier suppression workflow first attempts to re-engage inactive contacts before suppressing them. You need it to safely manage dormant contacts, reducing list decay risk by giving non-responsive users a final engagement opportunity before updating their marketing status.

Do I need HubSpot Marketing Professional or Enterprise to automate contact suppression?▼

Yes, automating contact suppression with this two-tier workflow requires HubSpot Marketing Professional or Enterprise. These tiers provide the necessary custom properties, conditional branching, and delay features needed to track suppression status and drive re-engagement decisions.

How do I configure re-engagement windows and suppression status properties in HubSpot?▼

You configure re-engagement windows by setting delay periods in the workflow and use a custom suppression status property to track contact state. This property drives the conditional branching logic that decides whether to continue re-engagement or update the marketing status.

What's the best way to automate re-engagement sequences before suppressing non-responsive contacts?▼

The best way is a two-tier sunset workflow that enrolls contacts based on last engagement date. It automatically triggers a re-engagement sequence, waits for a configurable period, and uses conditional branching to suppress only those who remain non-responsive.

Can I use Breeze AI or Claude to build a HubSpot sunset workflow with guardrails?▼

Yes, you can use manual UI builds, Breeze AI, or the Claude Chrome extension to implement and maintain the sunset workflow. These tools help configure the workflow with necessary guardrails and re-enrollment rules for managing dormant contacts.
