When debugging environment-specific issues or auditing a machine's configuration, you often need a quick snapshot of the current system state and environment variables. This Skill automates that collection into a single text file.
Run the envdump skill to collect basic system and environment info into out/env.txt.

Run the envdump script with an output path, for example bash scripts/envdump.sh out/env.txt. It writes the date, working directory, uname output, and all sorted environment variables to that file.
It captures the current date, present working directory, kernel and system details from uname -a, and the full sorted list of environment variables. Everything is written into a single plain text file.
No external packages are needed. It only requires bash and standard Unix utilities such as date, uname, and env, which are available on virtually all Linux and macOS systems.
Be cautious, because environment variables often contain secrets like API keys and tokens. Review and redact sensitive values in env.txt before sharing it with others or committing it to version control.
The script requires exactly one argument: the destination file path. If you omit it, the parameter expansion triggers an error. Always pass a path such as out/env.txt when invoking the script.
