What problem does it solve?

Epistemic mapping prevents analysis failures caused by treating beliefs as facts, running diagnoses without recognizing unknown unknowns, and missing critical context before making decisions.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Knowledge Quadrants: Classifies claims into Known Knowns, Known Unknowns, Unknown Known(s), and Unknown Unknowns to expose blind spots and validation gaps.
  • DIKW Stack Labeling: Separates data, information, knowledge, and belief so you can clearly see which parts of your reasoning are grounded versus assumed.
  • Most Dangerous Assumption & Mind-Change Conditions: Identifies the assumption most likely to break the plan and pre-commits to what observations would change conclusions.
  • Investigation Priority: Ranks open questions by importance and feasibility to reduce uncertainty efficiently during complex investigations and decisions.

Quick Start

Use epistemic mapping to produce a knowledge map that labels what you know with evidence, lists the highest-priority unknowns to validate, and specifies the conditions under which your working assumptions must change.
