High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I evaluate charity cost-effectiveness using an evidence-based framework?▼

To evaluate charity cost-effectiveness, apply evidence-based frameworks that prioritize outcome metrics over process data, utilizing ITN-based ranking and cost-effectiveness benchmarks to guide donor decisions.

What is the ITN framework and how does it support cause prioritization?▼

The ITN framework structures cause prioritization by evaluating Importance, Tractability, and Neglectedness, enabling donors to rank funding opportunities systematically rather than relying on misleading easy-to-measure metrics.

How do I apply Giving What We Can and Longview methodologies for donor guidance?▼

Apply Giving What We Can and Longview methodologies to design evaluation criteria, build scoring algorithms, and generate structured donor guidance that includes transparent risk disclosure and a formal 'case against' analysis.

Can I use this approach to compare high-impact programs across multiple cause areas?▼

Yes, evidence-based charity evaluation supports comparing high-impact programs across multiple cause areas by applying standardized cost-effectiveness analysis and structured reporting to ensure consistent funding decisions.

Why does my charity evaluation rely on misleading metrics instead of actual outcomes?▼

Charity evaluations often rely on misleading easy-to-measure process metrics due to a lack of structured frameworks, which this evidence-based approach solves by enforcing rigorous outcome tracking and risk disclosure.

When should I include a 'case against' analysis in my philanthropy scoring algorithm?▼

Include a 'case against' analysis whenever building scoring algorithms or donor guidance to ensure rigorous risk disclosure, counteracting bias and providing stakeholders with a transparent view of funding drawbacks.
