SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Evidence-driven Software Engineering provides a reproducible workflow that replaces confidence with verifiable evidence to justify engineering decisions, reducing review cost and unnecessary handoffs.

Core Features & Use Cases

Evidence Card and Verification Standard integration to structure claims, tests, and readiness decisions.
Development planning and delivery verification modules that guide end-to-end project progression.
Browser/runtime verification for web UI work and E2E readiness planning.

Quick Start

Execute an end-to-end EDSE run by generating an Evidence Card, mapping a verification standard, and issuing a readiness decision.

Frequently Asked Questions about evidence-driven-software-engineering

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I turn engineering claims into evidence-backed readiness decisions?▼

To turn engineering claims into evidence-backed readiness, generate Evidence Cards mapping claims to tests and apply verification standards before issuing handoff decisions. This enforces an explicit evidence-driven contract across planning, debugging, and delivery.

What is evidence-driven software engineering and when do I need it?▼

Evidence-driven software engineering replaces confidence with verifiable evidence to justify engineering decisions. You need it to reduce review cost and eliminate unnecessary handoffs by enforcing verification standards and explicit readiness gates.

How do I verify web UI work and plan E2E readiness for software projects?▼

Verify web UI work and plan E2E readiness using browser and runtime verification modules. These coordinate end-to-end progression by mapping UI claims against verification standards to produce evidence-backed readiness decisions.

What's the best way to structure software development planning to reduce review cost?▼

Structure software development planning using Evidence Cards and Verification Standards. This reproducible workflow coordinates end-to-end project progression by enforcing an evidence-driven contract, reducing review cost and eliminating unnecessary handoffs.

Can I use this workflow for debugging and code review tasks?▼

Yes, you can apply the evidence-driven contract across debugging, code review, and testing tasks. Generate Evidence Cards to map claims to tests, apply verification standards, and issue explicit readiness decisions before final delivery.

Why does my software project need explicit readiness gates before handoff?▼

Explicit readiness gates prevent unnecessary handoffs by requiring verifiable evidence instead of confidence. They enforce an evidence-driven contract using Evidence Cards and Verification Standards to justify engineering decisions before delivery.
